Meet the Author

Hi! I’m M. B. Smith. I’m an indie author who writes closed-door dark romance that features dominant alpha males falling desperately in love.

When I was 10 years old, I voluntarily picked a book for the first time in my life: Twilight. From then on, I’ve been an avid reader and a hopeless romantic. My goal is to create stories that make others believe in true love too.

I published my first book, Loving Elise, in 2022 as an explicit dark romance, then republished it in 2025 as closed-door due to personal convictions. My books are great for anyone looking for a high-stakes, unhinged, passionate romance without explicit content or heavy language.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two beautiful children together. Without his support and organizational skills, none of my books would’ve seen the light of day. He is truly the love of my life.

I never set out to be an author (in fact, I used to say I wasn’t capable of coming up with anything complex enough to be interesting), but once I got the idea for Loving Elise, I absolutely fell in love with writing.

I am forever humbled by the love and support I’ve received on this journey, and I hope to continue bringing people joy through my wild stories. Thank you for joining me on this crazy adventure. I am forever grateful for you.
